Gregory P. Pogue, Ph.D.

Dr. Gregory Pogue is the Deputy Executive Director and Senior Research Scientist for the IC2 Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. He is also an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Management Department of the McCombs School of Business where he teaches entrepreneurship and is currently a Fulbright Fellow.

Pogue has taught technology entrepreneurship in 15 countries, helped build or grow 10 business incubators and lectured at numerous universities including Peking University as a Globex Fellow. He has extensive technology commercialization experience through senior positions in venture capital, six entrepreneurial ventures, technology transfer offices and as a scientific innovator himself.

As a scientist, Pogue has authored 75+ original scientific articles and reviews, contributed to 40+ issued patents, and led development of 18 clinical stage products. In addition, he has contributed to the raising or management of more than $100M in venture capital and more than $42M in competitive grant support.

Credentials: 

Pogue holds a BS in biology from Midwestern State University and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Texas A&M University.
