Leadership. Strategy. Success.

The Paralegal Leadership Board is a group of industry leaders focused on supporting the Center for Professional Education in fulfilling its mission to provide the best Paralegal Certificate Program in the state of Texas.

Key goals for the board include:

  • Providing guidance in evaluating the paralegal curriculum, providing council on the skill sets most needed in today’s paralegal market;
  • Helping to identify employment opportunities in the paralegal market in Texas and helping to create employer access for the paralegal program graduates;
  • Facilitating increased employer, alumni, and faculty relations;
  • Providing advice about the creation and implementation of a scholarship fund for prospective students in the paralegal program.

Holly Coe

With over 30 years in the legal industry – both as an employee and employer – Holly offers a broad range of experience in law firm management. She received her BA from the University of Texas and her Paralegal Certificate from Texas State University before embarking on a paralegal career that spanned 10 years. In 1994, she established The Paralegal Source and grew the company into one of Austin’s premiere legal staffing firms. Acquired by Prescott Legal Search in 2000, the company transitioned to Special Counsel, Inc. in 2008 – the largest legal staffing company in the country. Holly served as Executive Director of the Austin office until February of 2015 when she joined B2 Management as their Business Development Director. Holly specializes in identifying client strengths and areas of growth to assist clients with maximizing their resources and achieving revenue goals through effective management of their business operations.

Ali Gallagher

Ali Gallagher is a former nurse practitioner and attorney who focuses her legal practice on the commercialization of new companies’ products and services, and emerging technologies, especially in the life sciences. She has an extensive background in manufacturing, product labeling, FDA oversight and post-market compliance for both consumer goods and medical devices. Ali also worked and lectured in the are a of mass torts on product defect cases. She has run several medical device companies and was appointed to serve as industry representative to the FDA’s orthopedic medical device panel. She taught Medical Law & Ethics at ACC which included topics on intentional and unintentional torts, the three branches of government, HIPAA, criminal law, contracts, death and dying, vital statistically reporting, and mandatory reporting of child and elder abuse.

Robert B. (“Bob”) Luther

Robert B. (“Bob”) Luther is a family lawyer practicing in Austin since 1984. He is a native Austinite, went to UT Austin for his B.A. and got his JD from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to his litigation and family law practice, Bob has taught both the Essentials and Contracts modules of the Paralegal Certification Course. He believes that the paralegal profession is the key to extending legal services to the community, and mentors many young lawyers and paralegals in the Austin area.

Brittany Posadas, MBA, TBLS – BCP

Brittany has been a Litigation Paralegal for eight years in Austin. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas State University and is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Brittany has served on the Board of the Capital Area Paralegal Association, and has served in numerous other roles such as the School and Student Liaison, Job Bank Coordinator, and Mentor and Internship Program Chair. Brittany was named CAPA’s Paralegal of the Year in 2017 and received the Pro Bono Award in 2017, as well.

Zakia Quintino

Zakia Quintino is a graduate of Texas A&M University – San Antonio where she earned her BA in sociology. As a paralegal and office manager for Chunn Price Harris & Sloan, PLLC, Zakia has become instrumental to the day-to-day operations of the firm. Through the Paralegal Certificate program, Zakia has developed and fine-tuned her skills and experience. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve on the board and act as a voice of encouragement and practical advice for new young professionals seeking a career in the legal field.

Dr. Samuel Riley

Dr. Samuel Riley earned his masters and doctoral degrees from The University of Texas at Austin College of Education. Dr. Riley has served in several different positions within the law school community including, in 2015, as the Interim Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at the School of Law. Outside the law school, Dr. Riley has served as the Mentoring Committee Chair for the Minority Network for Law School Admissions Professionals and the following committees for the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC): the National Recruitment Work Group; the DiscoverLaw.org PLUS Subcommittee; and currently the LSAC Finance and Legal Affairs Committee.
