Shelley Pernot

Shelley Pernot, a native Texan, spent most of her early career working for oil and gas industry giant ExxonMobil and as owner of a risk management consultancy, SAS Resources. A new opportunity arose with BP in 2009, where she eventually was named Global Capability Manager for Leadership Development, designing and delivering programs focused on creating a culture of open discussion and transparency. It was this experience that fueled her passion to teach and inspire individuals to lead with passion and purpose.

Pernot left BP in 2015 to start her own coaching and training firm, True North Coaching and Development, and has led coaching and leadership development training programs for organizations including Dell, Shell, Amgen, GSK, Unilever, Baker Hughes, Graybar and the VA.

Credentials: 

Pernot earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master in Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree from Erasmus Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands.  She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, a part-owner and faculty member of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) and a certified public accountant (CPA).
