Because Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the top providers of higher education cloud computing services, learning AWS skills and gaining experience on the platform increases you and your university’s ability to stay on the cutting edge of industry standards.
This course delivers an overall understanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, focusing on AWS Cloud concepts, AWS services, security, architecture, pricing and support to build your AWS Cloud knowledge. Instruction will focus on how these tools and concepts apply in the context of higher education IT processes and structures. Interested in AWS certification? Upon completion, you’ll be prepared to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification exam.
Successful completion of the AWS Cloud Foundations course is a required pre-requisite for Associate, Advanced and Engineering level AWS courses.
This is a foundational-level course. Students should have a basic understanding of computer concepts such as servers, storage, operating systems, networking and security.
Students should currently hold a position at a higher education institution.
