Students may wish to purchase PMI's PMBOK® Guide - Seventh Edition and/or the Agile Practice Guide, but these are not required.

Additional Information:

Students are divided into small groups for the duration of the program. Each small group applies the project management principles learned in class to a specific project plan. Classroom participation is required, as are small-group meetings and homework which occur outside of class times. Expected time investment outside of class times is 8-10 hours per week.

Students must attend 15 of the 17 classes in order to earn their UT Gold Seal Certificate. Due to the intensity of the course, we recommend that students attend all sessions.

If you're just getting started with project management, consider taking Principles of Project Management, a two-day course which introduces the basic characteristics of a project and how to manage one effectively.

This course is not available for college credit.
